Solair Chair

Solair Chair, blue

Designed in 1972 by the Montreal-based duo of Fabio Fabiano and Michelange Panzini, Solair is definitely a one-of-a-kind Canadian design icon.

The mod style of the Solair, influenced by the optimism of Expo ’67, has made it a hot collectible over the years, and is also part of the permanent collection of the Quebec Museum of Fine Arts. First popular in the ‘70s and ‘80s, the Solair chair is once again a hot-ticket item, thanks in part to the bright and vibrant colors that make it stand out, but also due to the renewed interest from North American and European consumers for mid-century modern and vintage furniture. The product is available in 10 colors and has been owned by Industries Emile Lachance Ltée since 1991.
